Teaching The Constitution
Besides offering valuable information on the "House I LIve In" theme, the Lemonick family, Naphtali, Administrative Yahoos and Two Baggers this blog also broadcasts breaking news in history instruction. An article in today's Washington Post mentions Sept 17th as Constitution Awareness day in our nation's schools. At first glance this may appear pretty stupid, considering the fact that our president needs that knowledge more than anyone and asap. Also we need another mandate like we need a "loch in kopf" (hole in the head). The book, above right, is actually a cute one on the subject. Here's a review of that book along with another by Betsy and Giulio Maestro. The Maestro's author some really good graphically engaging history themed books.
