Yesterday was my Uncle Hy's unveiling. My cousin Lois lent me her copy of this wonderful film that Uncle Hy (The King Of The Romaniote Jews) was featured in. It's entitled: LAST GREEKS ON BROOME STREET Director: Ed Askinazi "A personal exploration of the filmmaker’s heritage doubles as a fascinating glimpse into the little known community of Greek Jews, also known as Romaniotes, with 2,000 years of history, traditions, and their own language. The Kehila Kedosha Janina on Broome Street is the only remaining Romaniote synagogue in the US.
