7th Street, between B and C

I went back recently to check on the site of the old PS 71, which once stood on the sw side of 7th Street, between B and C. Again, a possible destination of the 239 7th Street children. The construction is relatively new, it more than likely replaced the replacement structure(s) of PS 71. Some of the renovated homes bear a new "old style" name marking at the top of the homes. An attractive old style entrance to 199-201 is incorporated into a renovation. The newer building with the arched entrance is the Emmanuel Baptist Church. Here's a slide show of the block
