
The NYPL can provide the raw materials for a then and now project, "a la Abbott." The Loomis-Sperr collection combined with an album of photos called, "Along the Yangtze River," allows you to match up the same blocks 70 years apart. I did that in one of slides
in this slide show. Don't be fooled by the Yangtze River title-it's metaphoric.
BTW, there's a 1930 slide of the Baruch bath house mentioned two days ago.
