That annotated photo is terrific. My grandfather's first cousin, Salvatore Tusa, owned a bakery at 195 Forsyth St. I wonder if that is the same location as the "Bakery" to which one of your arrows is pointing? I am working on the family genealogy so any thoughts on this would be helpful.
The picture above is a screen shot of my lower east side map from my google map "collection." It can be made fully functional but it overwhelms the column. I learned about mapchannels from digital urban. The free site also gives you the option to create a link to a full size version of a google map.
