Defonte's Disappointment

I went to Defontes for lunch the other day. It was an old favorite and I was telling some of my friends how great it is, rivaling Pete The "Hero King" of Market Street and "Uncle's Heroes" on Grand Street, the two champions of the Lower East Side of yesteryear. Last time I was there though (about a year ago) I was disappointed. I figured I'd try a hot sandwich instead of my usual cold. Another disappointment. To tell the truth, I like the sandwiches that Fairway in Red Hook makes better and it's a much better value. I was wired for sound to get an audio verite feel for the place. I added images.
