Surfing the Brooklyn Eagle archives on the Brooklyn Public Library site led me to a notice that Kevin Baker was speaking at the Bay Ridge branch tonight, so I interrupted my busy schedule to attend. Kevin did a good job both reading excerpts from Striver's Row and relating some interesting stories about his research. My front row seat gave me a good view of Kevin but also of the young ladies' legs who was there to sell copies of Striver's for autographing. Taking a clandestine picture would be too obvious, but a image search of "women in shirt skirts" did the trick for a reasonable facsimile.

A Story With Legs
