A Recent Chad Curtis' Prayer Meeting

guess he had a lapse in faith Another story about Chad Curtis, but this time within the context of a story about Derek Jeter. A true story
I rode up the elevator at Einstein Hospital with a hispanic mother and her kid (I guess about 7) and a West Indian maintenance man about 50. The kid had on a Jeter shirt. I said, "You picked the best Yankee. He's my hero too." The kid smiled. The mother said, "Tino Martinez is my favorite. He's cuter." When they got off I said to the maintenance man (who I had no clue was a baseball fan), "Jeter is the best of baseball in so many ways." He answered, "They thought Derek was finished. he showed them"
